Utility Incentives - Grants for New Construction

Jason Cheung is the Outreach Supervisor for The Willdan Group here in Washington State. In Washington, Willdan implements the New Construction Energy Design Assistance Incentive programs for Puget Sound Energy, Snohomish County PUD, Seattle City Light, Tacoma Power and Clark Public Utilities. He grew up in Longview, WA, went to U-Dub and lives in Auburn with his wife, 2 dogs, 1 cat and occasionally his son when he is not away for college. 

We administrate these utility Energy Design Assistance programs to help maximize the energy grants and rebates achieved in your project designs.    This is a complimentary service from the utility to promote energy efficiency and is for multifamily and mixed-use projects.   We use sophisticated energy modeling software that shows a whole building analysis on how your planned design will work against the utility’s baseline. Then we offer suggestions and design ideas for consideration that will improve both the energy efficiency and incentive earned for your project.
