Topic ![]() Diego Guimet: Diego is a Project Consultant at RDH’s Seattle office. His main areas of focus are new construction, existing buildings, and Phius Verification projects in the West and East coasts. On his spare time, he likes to go hiking and spend cozy evenings with his two cats, Lumi and Halo.
Luke Betteridge: Luke is a Senior Project Engineer at RDH with 9 years of experience in the building enclosure world working on a wide range of projects from new construction high rise buildings to historic retrofit projects. He is also the RDH Seattle office lead for air testing and the rope access team. When he is not hanging off buildings he tends to a small chicken farm north of Seattle. DescriptionThis presentation provides a background on rainscreen stucco assemblies and how they can perform in the pacific northwest region. It will summarize guidelines and best-practice standards and recommended approaches for how to ensure the longevity of these assemblies. Case studies of buildings across the Seattle region will be discussed to provide examples of failure mechanisms and how they can affect the structure of the building. Learning Objectives
