Presentation Summary: This presentation will examine the design of the 303 Battery envelope, with a focus on the unique considerations involved with designing for a prefabricated system. It will also explore how incomplete design impacted the delivery and execution of the prefabricated, panelized product at 303 Battery. Speaker Bio: Matt Trueblood is a construction professional with over a decade of experience. He joined Sellen in 2015, where he played a key role in delivering several high rise commercial office buildings in the Seattle region. In 2021, Matt transitioned to Sustainable Living Innovations (SLI), a pioneering company specializing in design, manufacturing and construction of prefabricated, panelized apartment buildings. While at SLI, Matt was integral in the completion of two major projects: 303 Battery and DESC Greenlake. Following a period of consulting within the industry, Matt joined McKinstry in May 2024, where he now works in the Offsite Manufacturing division, focusing on modular MEP systems. |
